Motivation Guaranteed!

By Dr. John Huang

Kentucky Basketball Coach John Calipari’s call into Kentucky Sports Radio this morning failed to generate much excitement.

Those who tuned in were undoubtedly disappointed when Coach Cal essentially said nothing we didn’t hear at Media Day last week. https://justthecats.com/from-uk-media-day-5-things-that-give-me-hope-5-things-that-give-me-concern/ Matt tried to ask him about his opinion on the Fair Pay to Play Act https://huangswhinings.com/2019/10/03/fair-pay-to-play-is-foul-play/, and Ryan was hoping to get him to comment on the Snoop Dogg performance at Kansas, but Cal refused to bite.

Cal being Cal

Instead, we heard the same old things we’ve heard before about his team: First of all, they should be good defensively. Secondly, Cal’s worried about their toughness. Johnny Juzang can shoot (and make) it. Nate Sestina likes to talk. And finally, it’s going to take a while for even the upperclassmen to reach their full potential.

Motivation Off with Big Mike and Otis

However, if you tuned in a couple of hours earlier with Michael and Shannon with their much-anticipated “Motivation Off”–you got your full money’s worth.

Big Mike and Otis–two loyal, die-hard, BBN fans of the highest order duked it out on the air. After all the pregame hype, it turned out to be more of a lovefest than a winner-take-all death match. But it was still highly entertaining indeed.

Give this a listen, and I’ll guarantee you’ll come away either inspired, or just darned happy.

Listen to Big Mike and Otis Duke it out with Michael and Shannon cackling in the background.

I hope Big Mike went to class. We at Just The Cats don’t ever want to minimize education.
