Kentucky Throws Opening Pitch on 2020 Home and SEC Schedule

Wildcats to play Texas A&M on Saturday, Sunday and Monday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 2020 Southeastern Conference schedule and 2020 home slate for the Kentucky Softball team gets underway this weekend, as No. 10/10 Kentucky plays host to Texas A&M for a three-game series running Saturday through Monday night at John Cpopp Stadium in Lexington.

Saturday’s series opener will be at 2 p.m. ET before Sunday and Monday’s 7 p.m. ET showdowns. Monday night’s game is the SEC Network’s premier of “Mic’d Up Monday”, where UK head coach Rachel Lawson will be mic’d up for sound during the duration of the game. Dave Baker and Joanna Lane will have the call on Saturday for the SEC Network+, with Matt Schumacker and former Alabama All-American, Kayla Braud.

Kentucky is 17-3 on the season, sporting the nation’s No. 1 statistical offense, leading the country in runs scored, runs per game and extra-base hits. Additionally, UK has the national home run leader, Mallory Peyton (10) national leader in RBI’s in Alex Martens (39) and the NCAA leader in triples, Kayla Kowalik (7).

Tickets to all three games are available at the UK Ticket Office, or by visiting UKathletics.com/tickets. This weekend is Youth Weekend, with several family-themed promotions spattering the three games this weekend at John Cropp Stadium. 

Saturday afternoon, fans will receive a Larissa Spellman poster, as the first of four major poster giveaways during the 2020 home season to honor the four UK seniors. Additionally, Saturday and Sunday will have autograph sessions by all 20 UK players.

Parking

Free game day parking is available in the upper and lower paved lots adjacent to John Cropp Stadium.
Additional parking will be available in the College Way East and West Lots, Kroger Field Green Lot, and Kroger Field Blue Lot.
A complimentary shuttle will pick up from the College Way West Lot, Kroger Field Blue Lot, and Kroger Field Green Lot beginning one and a half hours prior to first pitch.
The shuttle will continue to run until 30 minutes after first pitch and will resume 90 minutes after first pitch and will continue until 30 minutes after the end of the game.
